Did the U.S. government cover up the Roswell UFO incident?

Initially reported as a “flying disc,” it later changed to a weather balloon. Declassified files suggest high-altitude surveillance tests, but UFO theories persist. According to the documents, the crash was actually part of Project Mogul, a secret U.S. program using high-altitude balloons to detect nuclear tests by the Soviet Union. These balloons carried special sensors and looked different from regular weather balloons, which may explain the confusion.

Even with this explanation, many UFO believers think the government is still covering up something bigger, like an alien spacecraft. Some claim that alien bodies were recovered, but no solid proof has ever been found.

While there is no clear evidence of aliens, the Roswell incident remains one of the biggest UFO mysteries in history, fueling conspiracy theories and pop culture for decades.
