1) Will the energy storage space grow at a similar rate as solar has since 2010? 2) If so, what is the timing of the start of that growth and what specific factors will need to be in place to initiate that growth (i.e. technology cost, market development, state or federal policies, etc)? 3) Will energy storage installations be fairly evenly distributed (similar to solar PV) across residential, C&I, and utility scale deployments? Will utility scale deployments be on the generation side or load side of the transmission grid?

Nope, Storage is basically where solar was in 2006-07, they need more big countries/US States to put money into deployment. Right now storage is really focused on utility scale applications (in terms of MWH volume). I think the DG applications are better but they require greater integration with the utilities to realize the full value.
