I started out working for a big company. I learned a tremendous amount that way -- most of it good, but some of it things I learned to never do. So I think that's a great way to start out.

BUT: if you have an idea for a company, a real passion for it, it's something you want to do and you can't see yourself waiting or putting it on hold -- then go do that. Perseverance and drive matter most in any career, and if you're genuinely into what you're doing, you'll work a lot harder and therefore have a greater chance of succeeding.
