What are your thoughts about LinkedIn as a platform? Would you recommend it as the best platform for professional networking? In what areas is it lacking, or should it improve?

It all depends on your goals. Ultimately whatever platform you use isn't as important as the way you use it. If you reach out to help people, if you're kind and generous, if you're connecting people for mutually beneficial reasons... then the platform doesn't matter. People will respond. People will connect. You'll build a solid network.

And if you're just in it for you, the platform also doesn't matter, because ultimately it will just be you. Give instead of taking and you have a shot at building great connections.
